Allison Melton

Attorney Allison Melton was born in Shreveport Louisiana. Allison obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice At the University of Texas at Tyler in 2014. She worked for the Federal Defender headquarters in Tyler Texas after completing her undergraduate degree. In 2019 Allison obtained her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. In 2020 Allison was admitted to practice law in Louisiana. Allison accepted her first position as an attorney at the Caddo Parish Public Defender’s office and transferred to the Lafayette Parish Public Defender’s office. To perfect her trial skills, Allison accepted a position at the Caddo Parish District Attorneys Office. During her time as a prosecutor, she tried countless cases and left with a 100% conviction rate. However, Allison realized her true passion was to defend the defenseless and ensure clients’ rights are protected. She opened Melton Law Firm LLC to serve clients who have had charges filed against them and those who have been injured. Allison specializes in Criminal Law and Personal Injury.
